Rock Climbing Advanced 2.5 Day Training Course – RSA05

This course is designed for people with some experience in rock climbing techniques either in gyms or on natural rock. It is for those who want to take their climbing skills further by learning how to safely set up for top rope climbing and single pitch abseiling on real rock. Rock Solid Adventure Pty Ltd have the expertise and the know how to take you on an exciting adventure activity in a safe and friendly environment, while maintaining a professional standard at all times. All instructors have the appropriate training and experience to ensure your safety is priority one.

Forward Running Abseiling Half Day Tour – RSA03

Step out of your comfort zone and onto the rock face. Located on real rock, at the cliffs of the Bluff (Fleurieu Peninsula) learn some tricky moves and enjoy a great day of adventure challenge. Let fully qualified and accredited guides hang you off cliffs and also get you climbing things you never dreamed of. This day includes Forward Running Abseiling (going down the cliff by the use of ropes face first).

. The day starts with a safety talk followed by a demonstration abseil. You will then be taught how to control your decent and then let loose. A separate safety line will be attached which is controlled by an instructor.

. You can abseil as much as you like within the time frame and we usually set up numerous different abseils starting from a simple six metre and ending up with the big one – 35 metre drop down to just above crashing waves.

. Operates:
. Weekends during warmer months but can organise weekday activities for groups of four persons or more.

Coorong Wilderness Kayaking 3 Day Tour – RSA09

The Murray River flows, two and a half thousand kilometres from the highlands of New South Wales and Victoria down to South Australia . It pools into the shallows of Lake Alexandrina and Lake Albert before its final departure into the Southern Ocean. Back from the mouth extends a skinny estuary separated from the ocean by the Younghusband Peninsula known as the Coorong. A finger of water 150 kilometres long, at its widest five kilometres, down to just a mere100 metres across. A paradise for bird watchers, photographers, kayakers and nature lovers it contains 238 bird and 278 plant species.For thousands of years The Coorong has been inhabitanted by the Ngarrindjeri people, they called it kyrangh "the long neck" which was interpreted by the new settlers as Coorong. Author Colin Thiele wrote that it is a benediction of the Murray "horizon after horizon insulating the traveller from everything but sea, sky and sand".

. Day One – Depart 1730 and head down to Hindmarsh Island for paddling strokes and camping.

. Day Two – Pack all gear into kayaks and kayak over to the Young Husband Peninsula. Lunch and explore the Murray Mouth then head southwards along the peninsula to our camp ground. Enjoy a sunset board walk to the Great Southern Ocean. Here we may dig for cockles if you are game!

. Day Three – Meander back exploring some back waters and navigating around Bird Island. Finally ending up at our departure point after an enjoyable time away.

Abseiling Half Day Tour – RSA01

This course is designed especially for those who are seeking real adventure and have never tried abseiling before. Abseiling is the ability to descend vertically down a cliff face by the use of ropes. Rock Solid Adventure Pty Ltd have the expertise and the know how to take you on an exciting adventure activity in a safe and friendly environment, while maintaining a professional standard at all times. All instructors have the appropriate training and experience to ensure your safety is priority one.

This course is designed for those who want to experience both abseiling and rock climbing on the same day.
