Department for Environment and Heritage

The Department for Environment and Heritage is responsible for a network of parks throughout the state. Many of these parks are of international importance due to their scenic landscapes, unique flora and fauna, and the visitor experiences and cultural heritage opportunities they provide. Heritage, conservation, rangeland and native vegetation programs run by the Department have received national recognition.

With over 300 parks to discover and explore, a National Parks Pass is your key to unlocking the wonderful, unique and valuable natural environment and cultural richness of South Australia.

Touring Options

National Park Pass – 2 Month Holiday Pass

With over 300 parks to discover and explore, a National Parks Pass is your key to unlocking the wonderful, unique and valuable natural environment and cultural richness of South Australia.

The Holiday Pass entitles you to unlimited entry to all parks in South Australia, excluding Desert Parks and Flinders Chase National Park (Kangaroo Island), but for a period of two months.

. An additional camping option can be purchased that entitles you to camp for periods of up to five nights at a time in any one place in any park that has designated camping. Parks excluded from this camping option are Desert Parks, Flinders Chase National Park ( Kangaroo Island), Naracoorte Caves National Park and Wilpena Pound Resort Campground.

. Operates:
. Self-drive departs at your leisure. The Holiday Pass is valid for two months from date of purchase.

National Park Pass – 12 Month Multi Park Pass

With over 300 parks to discover and explore, a National Parks Pass is your key to unlocking the wonderful, unique and valuable natural environment and cultural richness of South Australia.

The Multi Park Pass entitles you to unlimited entry to all parks in South Australia, excluding Desert Parks and Flinders Chase National Park (Kangaroo Island), for a period of 12 months.
