Western Travel Bug, one of Western Australia’s leading tour operators specialise in day and extended Eco Activity Tours. All tours depart and return to Perth all year through, including winter. We visit Albany, Margaret River, South West, Esperance, Wave Rock, Swan Valley, Fremantle, Perth, Pinnacles, Kalbarri and Monkey Mia.

Tours are fully accommodated in motels and resorts on twin share basis (no camping). Our modern fleet of air-conditioned coaches carry a maximum of 20 passengers.

Tours are suitable for all ages and designed for those who wish to participate in light activities and get close to nature.

Four Day Monkey Mia, Kalbarri & Pinnacles Tour

Monkey Mia, Kalbarri & Pinnacles (4 days)

Day 1: Depart Perth at 7am and head north in air-conditioned comfort. At Yanchep National Park see kangaroos, emus and birdlife, or stroll along the koala boardwalk. Visit Balga Mia Village where a local Aboriginal guide will share their heritage. This interactive experience will include boomerang or spear throwing, tool or string making or didgeridoo playing.
After morning tea continue the journey through farming countryside. See magnificent wildflowers in season. Enjoy a swim before lunch and see the leaning wind-effected trees as we pass through the Greenough Flats. Visit Mills Lookout in picturesque Chapman Valley, enjoy wine-tasting at a local winery and a photo stop at the Pink Lake. Arrive at the Kalbarri Coastal Gorges for spectacular ocean views. Explore Red Bluff and the oyster beds.
Overnight Kalbarri [D]

Day 2: Explore the magnificent rocky landscape of Natures Window, The Loop OR Ross Graham Lookout and Hawks Head Gorges in Kalbarri National Park – some of the most spectacular red river gorges along the Murchison River. Continue north to Shark Bay World Heritage Region. After a brief stop in Denham arrive at Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort. The afternoon is free to enjoy the Resort facilities and beach.
Unwind on a sunset cruise aboard a magnificent catamaran, and perhaps see dolphins, dugongs and other marine life as you sail, relax and driftaway on this experience you will treasure forever. Once back on land finish this exhilarating day by wining and dining on the shores of Monkey Mia, and perhaps
some stargazing.
Overnight Monkey Mia Dolphin Lodge [B/D]

Day 3: Free time this morning on the interaction beach of the famous Monkey Mia wild dolphins with perhaps the thrill of hand-feeding one of these gorgeous creatures. Plenty of dolphin viewing time before heading to Denham for a brief stop. Visit Eagle Bluff for spectacular ocean views and see sharks and other marine life feeding off the seagrass. Stop at amazing Shell Beach – made entirely of shell and shellgrit and/or the ancient Stromatolites at Hamelin Pool. Returning to Kalbarri see more coastal gorges, and enjoy other local attractions during your free time (own expense). Enjoy a real Aussie BBQ dinner.
Overnight Kalbarri [B/D]

Day 4: Travel to Geraldton and visit the impressive HMAS Sydney War Memorial. Port Dennison is next for lunch and time for a swim. Pass through the Midwest farmland region, stopping to view the spectacular array of native wildflowers in season. Complete the tour with a visit to Nambung National Park, home of the mysterious Pinnacles Desert. We actually drive you amongst these amazing ancient limestone pillars with time to walk around and explore.
Return to Perth approximately 6pm, leaving you to reminisce your Travel Bug experience North.

Albany, Esperance & Wave Rock (4 days)

Day 1: Depart Perth at 7am and head south. Stop for morning tea in picturesque surrounds overlooking the Harvey River. For the adventurer climb the Diamond tree. Enjoy lunch amongst souvenirs and collectables made from local forest. Visit Valley of the Giants and experience the spectacular Tree Top Walk – a canopy boardwalk 40 metres above the forest floor, then stroll through the Ancient Empire. Visit the rugged coastline – Natural Bridge and The Gap, then Mount Clarence for great views surrounding Albany. See the local attractions and perhaps whales in season.

Day 2: Visit Mount Romance – an emu oil and sandalwood cosmetic factory. Climb Castle Rock in the Porongorups for magnificent views (1 hour climb). See the Balancing Rock or Tree in a Rock. After morning tea enjoy wine tasting. Travel through the Stirling Ranges to Bluff Knoll for a picnic lunch.
Overnight Esperance Motel [B/L/D]

Day 3: Choose between a free day relaxing, swimming and shopping in Esperance (own expense) OR remain with the group and visit Cape Le Grand National Park and climb Frenchman’s Peak for breathtaking views. Relax with a swim at picturesque Lucky Bay and see dolphins in season frolicking in the clear waters and often kangaroos on the beach. Visit Twilight Cove and Blue Haven beaches and stop at the Pink Lake and a wind farm. Return to Esperance to rejoin the group for some free time before an Aussie BBQ dinner.

Day 4: Today we journey to Wave Rock, with time to explore this amazing formation, as well as Hippo’s Yawn. See kangaroos, koalas, wallabies, emus and other native animals at a wildlife park. After lunch visit a dog cemetery. See wildflowers in season before returning to Perth approximately 6pm.

Four Day Albany, Margaret River & South West Tour

Albany, Margaret River and South West (4 days)

Day 1: Depart Perth at 0700 and head south. Stop for morning tea and visit Busselton Jetty, the longest wooden jetty in the Southern Hemisphere. Explore Ngilgi Cave and stop at Canal Rocks. Visit a working farm for a sheep shearing demonstration and see working sheep dogs. Sample wines at a local winery & pottery craft centre. It’s then on to the town of Margaret River for some free time. Experience a breathtaking sunset over the Indian Ocean at Prevelly Beach.

Day 2: Visit Surfers Point Lookout – world renown surf beach. Travel through the Boranup Forest to Cape Leeuwin – the most south west point of Australia. See the waterwheel and lighthouse. A brief stop in Augusta, then travel through the Karri Valley – tall timber country with 350 year old karri eucalypt forest. See spectacular wildflowers in season. Take a light 1 hour bushwalk to Beedelup Waterfalls. Enjoy trout fishing on the lake, swimming or just enjoy the natural surroundings of wildlife including kangaroos, emus and various birdlife.
