Balloon Down Under is the longest operating hot air balloon company in South East Queensland, they started flying over the Gold Coast nearly 20 years ago. Owned and operated by the Parkes family for all that time they have enjoyed a 100 per cent safety record. Your comfort, safety and enjoyment are their primary consideration. Their balloons are Australian made and feature the latest technology. Balloon Down Under pilots are highly qualified, CASA certified commercial balloon pilots, experienced at guiding your balloon on the early morning air currents.
Balloon Down Under fly over the Gold Coast and Hinterland every morning at sunrise. A complimentary pick up and return service is available to Gold Coast visitors. Locals will be met at Palm Meadows Golf Resort, Gooding Drive Carrara.
After tea and coffee at the launch site you may be invited to assist the pilot and crew to prepare the balloon for flight. Once aboard the wicker basket, your magical flight begins. The launch is so gentle, you will not even realise you have left the ground. The peace and gentleness of ballooning will surprise you and the views are outstanding. This is the most amazing way to see the marvellous Gold Coast.
After the flight join others at the five star Palm Meadows Golf Resort for a lovely champagne breakfast. The presentation of your personal Flight Certificate will be enjoyed by all.
