Guests can experience personalised package tours to parts of the Top End accessible only to Unique Indigenous Land Tours, as they have the approval of the traditional owners of the Darwin region, the Larrakia people, to talk about their land and country. Tours also incorporate interaction with one of the many traditional family groups within Kakadu National Park.

Touring Options

Litchfield, Kakadu and Arnhem Land

Explore Litchfield National Park, Kakadu National Park and Arnhem Land on this three day cultural adventure tour, accompanied by a local Aboriginal guide. You drive through Batchelor, before moving on to view magnetic termite mounds and enjoy a day swimming below cascading waterfalls. In the evening enjoy a stargazing cruise and spot crocodiles in the Mary River Park. The following day you will venture into Arnhem Land, visiting the Injalak Art Centre and Injalak Hills. You will then move into Kakadu National Park, where you can enjoy a cruise on Yellow Water Billabong and an East Alligator River cruise, browse the Bowali Visitor Centre and the Warradjan Aboriginal Culture Centre. View ancient rock art sites at Ubirr and Nourlangie Rock. You will also visit one of the traditional owners of the Cooinda area, and experience interactive weaving and a history talk about Kakadu and the surrounding area.

Litchfield Park

Litchfield National Park is a place of impressive natural formations, monsoon rainforests and beautiful waterfalls. This full day tour takes in the highlights of the park, stopping first at the township of Batchelor. You will see unique magnetic termite mounds, explore the rocky pools of Buley Rockhole, the cascading waterfalls of Florence Falls and Wangi Falls, where you can enjoy a refreshing swim. This experience has a strong focus on Aboriginal culture and your Aboriginal guide will offer an Indigenous perspective as you explore this unspoiled wilderness.

Billabong and Bird Watching Tour

Wetlands and wildlife in their natural environment are viewed on this full day tour. Visiting Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve, you will see the various native flora and fauna that inhabit this pristine and fragile eco-system. Your local Aboriginal guide will explain the different uses of traditional plants and bush foods, and talk about the history that once existed at Fogg Dam. The tour will then stop at Window on the Wetlands, an informative centre that will explain about the Marrakai Region, and to view one of the many hidden picturesque billabongs within the outskirts of Darwin. You will see several attractions during the day, including magnetic termite mounds and a WWII Combat Air Strip along with hidden aircraft inserts.

Arnhem Land

Aboriginal art and culture are explored on this full day tour. After a short stop at The Bark Hut Inn Tourist Centre, a unique Territorian roadhouse, you cross the South Alligator River, Cahills Crossing and travel into Arnhem Land to the township of the Oenpelli community. View the Injalak Hills, guided by a local guide and browse through the Injalak Art Centre with an opportunity to purchase authentic artwork form local artists. Journey down the River with Guluyambi East Aliligator River Cruises, a unique Aboriginal culture cruise. Next you will visit Ubirr and follow a one kilometre circular track that takes you past several fascinating Aboriginal rock art sites.

Kakadu National Park

Discover an untouched wilderness on this full day tour through Kakadu National Park. Explore the fascinating Warradjan Cultural Centre. Visit local artist homelands, see their artwork and screen printing workshops, and listen to an informative talk by local families on the history of Kakadu. Browse the workshop with an opportunity to purchase works directly from the artists. Undertake the bush walk to a billabong, with a commentary on local bush food, animals and traditional medicines. The tour moves on for a boat cruise on the tranquil billabong Yellow Water. This famous cruise allows you to view varied birdlife, saltwater crocodiles and other animals.
