Coach Tours of Australia, which is located within the Macedon Ranges Spa Country, is the luxury tour division of Sunbury Coaches. The company was established in 1980 and has grown to be one of Victoria’s most respected and dynamic coach tour operators. Highlights of the ‘Macedon Ranges & Daylesford Spa Country’ Day Tour: * The mysteries of Hanging Rock * Wine tasting at Hanging Rock’s award winning winery * Lunch and Entry to the magnificent Convent Gallery * Entry to Lavandula Swiss Italian Lavender Farm * Afternoon tea in Daylesford * An optional spa at the Hepburn Spa. Itinerary 8.45am depart Melbourne and travel west to Mount Macedon – famous for its grand mansions and gardens. Visit the fabled Hanging Rock to learn of the legend of ‘Picnic at Hanging Rock’. After morning tea, a wine tasting is enjoyed at Hanging Rock Winery. A drive through rolling hills and farming country takes us to Daylesford and the wonderful Convent Gallery – a centre for artistic excellence with works by some of the finest artists, sculptors, jewellery makers, silversmiths, glass blowers and ceramists. Lunch is enjoyed here, followed by a short drive to Hepburn Spa Resort – Australia’s only mineral water spa, where those taking the optional 2 hour ‘indulgent spa’ will be dropped off. For the others, the tour continues to the 1860’s farmhouse at Shepherds Flat, where Lavandula, a Swiss/Italian Lavender Farm is situated. Time is allowed to explore the lavender fields before heading back to Daylesford for afternoon tea. There is also time to explore the shops and galleries in Daylesford, before heading back to Melbourne by 6.00pm.
