Anglers’ Choice Fishing Safaris have the flexibility to offer several fishing options, from an exciting 1 day safari that’s perfect for the whole family, to an exclusive extended mothership safari on a magnificent 21.6 metre motor sailing ketch.

Tours are suited to single anglers, couples, small or corporate groups alike. Their custom built sports fishing craft are comfortable and fitted with canopies, large casting platforms, and all safety equipment including satellite phone. Touring Options

One Day Barramundi Fishing Safaris

You will be on the water early on this full day tour, starting with a stunning sunrise over the floodplains before heading out in search of the famous barramundi. With a few tips from their friendly and qualified fishing guides, you’ll be experiencing a tight line or two in some of the Territory’s unique billabongs and lagoons. All tackle is supplied including lures, rods and reels. This tour is suitable for the whole family, including non-angling partners and children.

Barra, Reef and Sportsfishing Safari – Dundee Beach

On this exciting extended tour, fly to remote Dundee Beach located 200 kilometres from Darwin. Here you could be casting lures for barramundi in the morning, and then chasing schools of pelagic fish such as mackerel, tuna, trevally and queenfish in the afternoon. After an exhilarating day’s fishing, unwind in your retreat accommodation and soak up the superb sunsets from your verandah, or take a refreshing dip in the spa to relax those fishing muscles.

Big Barra Run Off Mothership Safari

During March and April, Anglers’ Choice Fishing Safaris operates an exclusive 21.6 metre motor sailing ketch, Cape Adieu. Your fishing adventure starts in the sheltered waters at the mouth of the Mary River, where each morning you’ll be transferred from the mothership to a custom built sport fishing boat to go in search of the famous barramundi. Threadfin salmon, black jewfish, and snapper are also targeted, with mud crabs also being a welcome treat. After a stimulating day’s fishing, return to the Cape Adieu and relax on the entertainment deck while a chef prepares a tropical gourmet meal.
