With its excellent views of the nearby Grampians, it is a tranquil and pretty place, with a multitude of native bird life and, of course, the possums! Conveniently located midway between Stawell and Pomonal, Possums’ Run is under 15 minutes from Hall’s Gap and less than 5 minutes from Lake Fyans. Bring your pet along to share your holiday. The house is in a beautiful bush setting and has verandas running the length of the house at the front and rear. Naturally, the bush attracts the native wildlife, including a myriad of birds and the possums after which the property is named. These possums are also very attracted by the verandas! As you lie asleep at night in the comfort of Possums’ Run, don’t be alarmed if you hear the pitter patter of rapidly moving possum paws. They’ve just arrived for their night at the races. And race they do! Up and down the length of the veranda. Just like the Melbourne Cup. Or perhaps, more appropriately, the Stawell Gift. That’s why we called it Possums’ Run. In honour of our very own racing possums.
