Myuna Bay Sport and Recreation Centre, Dora Creek
Located on the western foreshores of Lake Macquarie – Australia’s largest inland salt water lake – Myuna Bay Centre is the perfect launching pad for water-based fun. The Centre offers adventure activities in and around the tree-lined lagoon, where guests can enjoy canoeing, kayaking and sailing all year round.
Other facilities include a swimming pool, tennis courts, mini golf course, beach volleyball court and ropes course. When the sun goes down, the evening entertainment kicks in, dances, red face competitions, or bivouacs where guests pitch a tent and sleep under the stars.
Situated on 156 hectares of bushland, Myuna Bay is only one and half hours drive north of Sydney, and 30 minutes south of Newcastle. Nearby attractions include the famous Hunter Valley vineyards and wineries, and the forests and waterfalls of Watagan Mountains.
