Discover your own secluded mountainside spa cottage with magnificent views of the valley and Hunter River on our 300 acre property. Each self-contained cottage has its own spa, air-conditioning, BBQ’s, wood heating and private verandah.

At Hunter River Retreat you will find Rosebrook Estate Wines. Chardonnay, Sparkling Chardonnay, Verdelho, Late Pick Verdelho, Liqueur Verdelho, Shiraz and Muscat.These wines are produced in the winery on site where tasting and sales are available. You can also stroll through the vineyard along the banks of the Hunter River.

As well as tasting wines on site Hunter River Retreat has a 22 seater bus for winery tours to the Pokolbin and Lovedale areas. With our bus we try to tailor tours to suit our guest requirements.

Bluegum Cottage

The Bluegum Cottage is a private fully self-conatined cottage with jacuzi spa. It has two bedrooms, a double in one bedroom and two singles and a double decker bunk in the second bedroom. Splendid views of the valley and Hunter River. It has a outdoor setting on the verandah, wood fire, air-conditioning, BBQ, linen provided and parking underneath.

Cedar Cottage

The Cedar cottage is a private fully self-contained cottage with jacuzzi spa. It has 2 bedrooms a double bed in one bedroom and 2 singles and a double decker bunk in the second bedroom. It has magnificent views of the valley and Hunter River. It has and outdoor setting on the verandah, wood fire, BBQ, linen provided, air-conditioning and parking underneath.

Rockhouse Cottage

The Rockhouse is built from bush rock it has a loft upstairs with 2 bedrooms either end. A queen bed in one bedroom and a double and two singles in the second bedroom. It has a jacuzzi spa which is in a room on the verandah with large glass windows. It has an outdoor setting, BBQ, wood fire, air-conditioning, linen provided and views of the valley and Hunter River.

Olive Cottage

The Olive Cottage is a private one bedroom cottage with queen size bed and a large triangular spa bath in the lounge bedroom area. It has an ensuite, wood fire, air-conditioning,verandah, outdoor setting, BBQ and superb views of the valley and Hunter River.
