Hillview Cottages, Kingaroy

This peaceful country retreat sits high on the Booie Range, overlooking picturesque farming and grazing country, yet is only minutes from restaurants, boutique wineries and Kingaroy. Hillview is the perfect place to escape and explore the beautiful South Burnett – Queenslands fastest growing wine region. There are two cottages offered (one a converted dairy) with a converted church original building built in 1912, planned to open in 2006. If you’re looking for an intimate, romantic getaway or a weekend together with close friends or family, Hillview caters for both.

Whether you choose to stay in the Cottage or the Dairy you will enjoy air conditioned, stylish and modern design, comfy queen size beds, fireplaces, spa-baths and fully equipped kitchens.

Your hosts, Steve and Cathy Davis, moved to Hillview in 2002 and created this wonderful quiet getaway so close to Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.

“Green-changers” themselves, they understand the pressures of city living and the need to escape and unwind. At 250 kilometres from Brisbane, Hillview is the prefect destination for that short break to recharge the batteries. The view is wonderful and the serenity and ambiance of the property is good for the soul.

Hillview Cottages greets guests will the well-stocked welcome basket containing light breakfast provisions and complementary local products to enjoy during your stay. The Davis family invite you to share their piece of paradise and enjoy the magic of Hillview.

Accommodation Options

The Dairy

This modern stylish two bedroom cottage is perfect for groups of up to three couples or a family. Comfortably sleeping six adults (two queen beds and two singles) it boasts two bathrooms, fully appointed granite and timber kitchen, marble vanity and double spa in the ensuite, wood fire, television, video, compact disc, games and a large terraced barbecue area perfect for playing bocce or just relaxing. Every room of this tastefully decorated cottage has magnificent views of the South Burnett countryside.

The Cottage

The Cottage is the perfect place for couples to relax and enjoy the majestic views. With a three metre wide verandah to enjoy a bottle of wine whilst watching the sunset, and a beautiful private enclosed spa bath overlooking the brilliant rich red soils of the Burnett, the cottage is the perfect honeymoon or childfree destination. Designed for couples it has one bedroom, separate lounge, eat-in kitchen and bathroom. With lovely tongue and groove walls and polished floors the simplicity of the cottage entices you to relax and unwind.
