Coral Sea Villas, Port Douglas
Coral Sea Villas is a small resort complex of ten large villa-style two bedroom apartments situated in picturesque Macrossan Street, Port Douglas. It is a peaceful hideaway in a superb location, nestled into the lee of Flagstaff Hill, 50 metres from beautiful Four Mile Beach and a four minute stroll to the heart of the village, with its shops, music, many restaurants, cafes, clubs and bars.
Port Douglas has two World Heritage treasures right on its doorstep, the rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef. The traditional wet season and hot summer period was historically the low season in Port Douglas but with changing weather patterns and much improved conditions generally, more and more visitors are also choosing this time to visit this delightful area.
The complex features a large, deep and private saltwater pool with adjacent barbecue area. While swimming in the cool waters or relaxing by the pool, guests are often visited by bright Ulysses butterflies and birds. Colourful lorikeets live in the surrounding trees, and sunbirds build their nests around the property, visiting delighted guests on their balconies. There are also white-lipped green frogs in residence in the garden, which has mango, banana and avocado trees, along with many varieties of palms.
The fully self contained multi-level villas are of tropical design, with spacious living areas, two bedrooms, private bathroom, fully equipped kitchens and laundry facilities, private courtyard and balcony. The decor provides a tasteful natural blend of terracotta tiled floors, louvre windows, and cane furnishings.
