Clarendon Farmstay, Cowra
Clarendon Farmstay accommodation is in the old Broula School, built from granite and sandstone around 1885. The building is self contained and is completly separate from the main homestead. It has been handsomely renovated with your comfort in mind.
The large rustic living room retains many original features and a fully equipped kitchen. Leather lounges are set around a beautiful old fireplace for those cold winter nights. Cooling is provided throughout for comfortable summer living. There are two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and one with two singles, and a large bathroom. The accommodation is therefore ideal for a family or two couples.
The Broula school building and the main homestead are set in spacious gardens with a childsafe in-ground salt water pool.
The 615 acre property runs beef cattle, ‘dorper’ sheep stud and olive trees and includes the historic outbuildings of the original large holding.
The property runs into the Broula Hills which offer spectacular views from easy walks through native vegetation which is home to large numbers of kangaroos, wallabies and native birds. These can also be easily accessed by four wheel drive.
Guests are free to roam around the farm and gardens but hosts John and Viv Thornett are delighted to show you the farm activities, or guide you to the best walking tracks.
The Old School House is set up for self catering but breakfast imgredients can be provided.
