Chestnuthill Country Retreat, Swan Reach

An elegant design, with a certain “grandness” from a past era. This bed and breakfast is on Metung road at Swanreach and overlooks the Tambo River which flows to the Gippsland Lakes. Pearl and Malcolm have constructed a new luxury bed and breakfast that will entrance you with its angled walls, and sweeping views of the river from each room. The hexagon shaped breakfast room is simply huge with redwood lined ceiling, and windows that are so big you will think that you are siting outside. Guests are provided with free Internet access in this room, where they can browse the net, send e-mails, or log on to their own site, to collect or send up to-date information. The website is totally secure, and you will not have to be concerned with viruses, or computer shutdowns. There are three guestrooms each with a different theme, and one self-contained unit. All are air-conditioned individually, so guests can set their own level of comfort. The rooms have been designed for the comfort of couples only, so you will not be disturbed by children. Two rooms have there own balcony’s where you can relax outside and take in the tranquil stillness of the river and the surrounding farmland. The self-contained has a separate spa room with a picture window, where you can look out over the Tambo River and relax in privacy, as well as a full ensuite. A fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, cooktop, microwave, refrigerator and even a washing machine. Two verandahs allow guests to spend time outside, and a carport is also provided. Breakfast is a special time at Chestnut Hill, as it allows Pearl to utilise her culinary skills, and provide you with a choice of cooked breakfasts.
