Remote as it is from traffic lights, Buchan is far from being uncivilised and is fully serviced for discerning visitors. It includes a genuine old style pub, an old fashioned general store, an artefacts shop, rock museum, post office, roadhouse and petrol station, bush nursing centre and one of the most extensive limestone cave systems in the country. We could go on and on but better yet, come and see for yourself. The Buchan Motel is the only motel adjacent to the famous Buchan Caves Reserve with two show caves as well as small bush walks, and the famous cool water swimming pool.
