Batavia Motor Inne, Geraldton

The Batavia Motor Inne is situated one block from the city centre and a two minute walk to the town beach and cinema.

The name is derived from the Famous Dutch ship, the “Batavia”, which was wrecked on the Abrolhos Islands off the coast of Geraldton in 1629. The full story of the Batavia wrecking is depicted on video, which runs continuously at the Geraldton Museum. It’s a fascinating tale of mutiny and survival in the early days.

The Batavia Motor Inne has 76 rooms, including a honeymoon suite and penthouse. The rooms comprise of family, standard and budget. All rooms have ensuites, televisions, free in house movies, airconditioning and tea and coffee making facilities. Standard rooms and some family rooms come with either king or queen size beds.

Room service is available during restaurant hours while the family rooms are self-catering. Weekly rates and corporate accommodation and meal packages are available on request.

The swimming pool and barbecue facilities are a great attraction and are situated adjacent to rooms, reception and restaurant. The Batavia’s restaurant is a-la-carte, with a good selection of seafood, steak and chicken dishes. We also serve burgers, fish and chips, and offer a kids menu and a delicious sweets selection. Dress is casual.

Feel free to enjoy the casual, welcoming atmosphere of the Scottish Bar where both Scottish and Aussie beers are on tap.

The lovely garden with its gazebo and fountain makes an ideal setting for a wedding and is offered free of charge to those who wish to have their wedding ceremony and reception at the Batavia Motor Inne. We have a large venue with private bar for any function or conference. We can offer multi media equipment if required for business functions and conferences.
