Animal Farm @ Maleny, The, Maleny

The Animal Farm @ Maleny is a 380 acre working cattle farm set on the rolling green hills of Maleny. The property has nine dams stocked with fish and red claw, walking and horse trail riding tracks throughout and a bush-camp for barbecues. It has 12 cabins and three motel units all with verandahs and spectacular views. The activities include horse riding (47 horses on property), cow milking, animal feeding (30 deer, goats, sheep, ducks, chooks, geese, etc), pony rides for children, trail riding and tractor rides. Groups also have bonus options of whip-cracking, boomerang throwing, horse riding lessons and across country trail rides as well as an Australian entertainer at night.

The cabins have full kitchens and families can self-cater or there are meal deals for groups. The facilities include a 16.6 metre solar heated pool, full sized tennis court, games room, sauna, shop, restaurant (for groups), playground and electric barbecue shelter that seats 40. There is also a unique hand carved Wedding Chapel and an Alfresco Reception Area that both seat 120. An air-conditioned conference room is also available. This is a dinki-di family friendly farm stay.

The cabins have lots of timber features with fireboxes and are very snug in winter with mists coming over the mountains. Summers the breezes flow through and local birds come onto the verandahs to feed. Early morning risers often see kangaroos and koalas have been sighted in trees near cabins.
