Glenworth Valley Horse Riding

1 hour north of Sydney, is Australia’s largest and most spectacular horse riding centre with 200 horses to choose from and 3000 acres to explore.

You can ride up to the natural rock pools for a swim or follow the river as it meanders its way through lush green valleys. Altogether there are 50kms of unspoilt wilderness trails to explore, including ancient rainforest trails.

We offer both free range riding, where you go out on your own or you can take a relaxing guided ride with one of our friendly guides to assist you.

Our selection of 200 quality horses allows us to cater for all levels of riding ability from nervous beginners right through to very advanced riders. All riders receive individual instruction before leaving the yards.

Rides leave 7 days a week at 10am and 2pm on weekdays or 9.30am, 12pm and 2pm on weekends and public holidays.

ATV quad bike tours, abseiling, kayaking, laser skirmish, bush walking, riverside camping as well as BBQ and picnic areas are also available on the property, see our website for further details.

Riding Lessons

Horse riding lessons are the ideal way to learn confidence, balance & co-ordination in a controlled environment.

Our lessons are provided in accordance with a training plan which includes grooming, saddling, ground control, walking, trotting & cantering in harmony with the horse. As riders advance we will progress to lateral movement, rounding, collecting, & jumping. Various exercises & activities are also used to increase co-ordination & to let students experience the different types of riding disciplines that may interest them. We specialise in giving you individual attention & have a variety of activities & classes designed especially for children.

1/2 hour private lessons – $35
1 hour private lessons – $50
1 hour group lessons (up to 4 people) – $40 per person

Free Range Horse Riding and Guided Riding

Ride through a magnificent landscape of Glenworth Valley, swim in natural rock pools, see rainforest, native birds and animals on over 50 kilometres of trails.

Guided Riding is suitable for riders of all abilities. With guided horse rides, instruction on control and management of your horse is given before leaving the yard. A professional and friendly guide accompanies you on your ride. You are shown the features of the area while riding and once you feel proficient and confident with your horse you may be able to leave the group and explore the valley by yourself.

Free Range Horse Riding is available for experienced riders who feel confident with their horse and who wish to explore the valley at their own pace. All riders are given instruction on control and management of the horse before leaving the yards to ride wherever they like without a guide.
