South Mokanger Farm Cottages, Cavendish

Nestled amongst the majestic, ancient redgum trees you can experience the peace and solitude of this rural farmstay on the southern edge of the renowned Grampians National Park. Stay in historic Stoneycroft Cottage (circa 1865) built from bluestone mined on the property or charming Mountain Duck cottage.

Both fully self contained and, generously appointed with cosy wood fires outdoor furniture and BBQ’s. We are centrally located for visiting wineries, open gardens, the coast and Grampians mountain exploring, with local golf, tennis and restaurants. As one Sydneysider said we are an hour and a half from everything, the best location.

This third generation sheep and cattle property is 4500 acres and we have seasonal farm activities including sheep mustering, feeding and shearing. In summer enjoy a refreshing dip in our large inground swimming pool, go fishing, do a spot of yabbying…or take a long peaceful walk down the lane way. In winter curl up in front of the open fire with a good book and a great local bottle of wine. PETS ARE WELCOME

Glasshouse Mountains

The Glasshouse Mountains in the hinterland of Queensland’s Sunshine Coast are actually the cores of 20 million year old volcanoes. The sides of the volcanoes have eroded away leaving only the hardened rock spiremountain cores we see today. Learn more about this awe-inspiring landscape.
