Set on the mountain top at Mount Shadforth, just three and a half kilometres from the centre of Denmark townsite, Karri Mia Resort is just a sort jaunt from over a dozen local wineries, arts and craft galleries, eateries, meadery, horse riding and much more.

The on-site Observatory Restaurant has the largest selection of local wines on offer in the Great Southern. The impressive local wine list can be match with unrivalled local fare. The Restaurant and Function Centre can each cater for up to 120 people from Business seminars to product launches and weddings, with state of the art audio visual facilities which will enhance any presentation. The Observatory has its own unique ‘Walk-in’ Wine Cellar, where guests can select their own bottle of wine to accompany their meal and take a flyer detailing the winery and where it is located, so that they can visit the winery later. The Restaurant and Function Centre boast undeniably, the best views on Australia’s South Coast, from Albany to Augusta!!

Karri Mia Resort started life as a dairy, but was transformed in the mid-1990s into a stunning resort with a range of accommodation, consisting of; ten Bungalows Deluxe and Premium, five luxury Spa Studios for the honeymooners and romantic escapes, 10 Mt Shadforth Ensuites (stylish motel-style accommodation).

The resort has a large communal games room with table tennis, a pool table and electronic games. There is a children’s playground, nature bird walk around the resort, tennis court and a guest laundry.

The resort boasts fantastic views of the Southern Ocean and Wilson’s Inlet, undulating hills, crystal clear beaches and is just a stone’s throw from the Tree Top Walk. Albany, Walpole and Mt Barker are all less than 40 minutes drive from Denmark
