Happy Wanderer Holiday Resort, Wartook

The Happy Wanderer Holiday Resort is a privately owned tourist complex in the Grampians. It is situated on 16 hectares of attractive bushland within the Wartook Valley on the western or ‘sunny side of the Grampians’ (only 60% of the Hall’s Gap rainfall) at Wartook. Breathtaking views of the spectacular surrounding mountains can be viewed from your cabin. The Resort provides quiet, relaxing retreat for couples and families and many facilities for the more active guests. There are plenty of things to keep the kids busy. We offer affordable, quality accommodation consisting of Executive (4 1/2 star), Deluxe and Standard (3 1/2 star) 2 bedroom Log Cabins and Log Flats. In a separate area we have on-site Caravans and Cabin-vans with external private ensuites. We now have powered and un-powered sites available. Besides the many activities to participate in within and around the Grampians National Park, the resort has a wide range of facilities for your use. These include in-ground solar heated swimming pool, full size tennis court and 2 half-court tennis courts (all floodlit), nine hole golf course, table tennis, volleyball, basketball, large playground with trampolines and sandpit. There are laundries, barbecue’s, a general store, fuel and tourism information available for your convenience. Our Resort has been planted with over 3000 Australian Native trees and shrubs to attract a wide variety of birds and native flora (native orchids) We have a large number of kangaroos who graze on our golf course along side visiting emus. The Happy Wanderer Holiday Resort is strategically placed for half day and full day trips in and around the Grampians and Wimmera. You can visit nearby well-stocked lakes for fishing, wineries and towns such as Horsham, Halls Gap and Stawell. Guests of all ages can enjoy spectacular mountain scenery, aboriginal art sites, rock-climbing, bush-walking, wildflowers, wildlife, sporting activities, horse riding, or just relaxing.
