Grampians YHA Eco-Hostel, Halls Gap

Grampians YHA Eco-Hostel is a ground breaking eco-hostel with many state of the art features designed to protect and compliment the natural environment whilst making your stay a comfortable one. Grampians YHA Eco-Hostel was also designed with the guests in mind, and it has many features including relaxing by the wood fire with a book, solar electricity, and water and energy conservation processes. You can participate in a range of adventure activities, such as abseiling, rock climbing, horse riding, and canoeing, and they can be booked from the hostel-based ‘Adventure Company’. Grampians YHA Eco-Hostel is perfectly situated for seeing the main attractions in the Grampians region: the Grampians National Park is a great place to explore attractions such as Reid’s Lookout, the Balconies, Aboriginal rock art and waterfalls. Other places of interest include the Brambuk Aboriginal Cultural Centre, which provides tours featuring insight into Aboriginal culture and Aboriginal rock art. Nearby the hostel is a range of restaurants and cafes where you can relax and have a meal. For those who prefer to eat in, the hostel offers state of the art kitchen, with self catering facilities, and the local food store is only minutes walk down the road. The hostel also features barbeque areas, television rooms, and internet facilities to make your stay more enjoyable. To reach the YHA eco-hostel, Melbourne-based Autopia Tours has a direct coach service from Melbourne to the Grampians YHA Eco-Hostel and return, which runs three times a week.
