It is perfect for fishing and boating (including launch ramps, mooring and refuelling). The safe swimming beach is patrolled in summer by the Carrum Life Saving Club. Depending on the tide, you will be able to ‘walk’ out into the water for approximately 15 to 25 metres before it even reaches your chest! Nearby, the adjoining reserves with parking and picnic facilities are ideal for walking and cycling. Carrum Beach and its nearby shopping strip are easily accessible by car, bike or train. Located approximately 30 kilometres from the city of Melbourne, Carrum is an ideal location to enjoy both the relaxation of the beach and the pleasure of city life in close proximity.
