Alice’s Secret Traveller’s Inn, Alice Springs

Julia and Ian welcome you to Alice’s Secret Travellers Inn. Their cosy and relaxed hostel nestled in the middle of Australia’s red centre, Alice Springs. The smallest hostel in the ‘the Alice’, they are tucked away in a quiet street just opposite arid bush land and botanic gardens, yet only a five minute walk from the town centre.

Being the smallest, they pride themselves on their cleanliness and friendliness, and are happy to give you that extra bit of attention you will miss in the bigger places. Choose from air conditioned dormitory beds, single, twin or double rooms, all at affordable prices. Communal facilities include a big catering kitchen where you can enjoy free tea and coffee, and cereal all day long, or you might prefer firing up a barbecue in their spacious garden after cooling down in the outdoor spa.

Alice’s Secret recreational pursuits include table tennis, badminton, guitars, didjeridoos, bike hire, juggling, poi-spinning, staff-twirling and firewood collecting (winter only). Their large backyard also offers lots of quiet corners surrounded by native gardens for those times when you just want to chill. They also have an airconditioned TV and video lounge.

Alice’s Secret Traveller’s Inn can advise and ensure bookings with all major tour companies (Australia wide). No matter how you intend to spend your time in ‘the Centre’, they can offer you valuable local knowledge gained from years of experience, making your decisions so much easier.

Australia's Best Beaches

Australia has miles and miles of shoreline but which beaches are really great? Ultimately it depends on what you're looking for in a beach. Pristine wilderness without a single footprint in sight, the sparkle of cosmopolitan high rise on the waters edge, the adrenalin pumping roar of a powerful surf beach, or quite simply the perfect white squeaky sand that squelches between your toes. Glasshouse Mountains

The Glasshouse Mountains in the hinterland of Queensland’s Sunshine Coast are actually the cores of 20 million year old volcanoes. The sides of the volcanoes have eroded away leaving only the hardened rock spiremountain cores we see today. Learn more about this awe-inspiring landscape.
