Apple Tree Cottage is nestled in a lush secluded valley near Oakbank in the Adelaide Hills. The delightful two storey settlers cottage, beautifully restored, is a haven of peace on the banks of a lake, apple orchards and grazing cattle, enabling guests to relax and experience the peace and tranquillity of country life, within easy reach of Adelaide. The cottage is an ideal holiday base being only 30 minutes drive from Adelaide and within one hour of the Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale wine region and beaches. Explore scenic drives through the Adelaide Hills including the Onkaparinga Valley, historic Hahndorf and Oakbank, the home of the Great Eastern Steeplechase.

Built in the 1860’s, Apple Tree Cottage offers self contained accommodation for up to five people amid an old world atmosphere of scrubbed furniture, rocking chairs and log fires. This is a unique property of 200 acres, full of interest for the photographer, artist, birdwatcher or anyone who simply enjoys leisurely strolls in peaceful surrounds. Guests have the opportunity to go fishing, boating and mushrooming or maybe watch a calf being born. Walk around our hills, picnic in the orchard or the pine forest or dream by the fireside. Winner 2004 Australian Tourism Award. 2004 Yellow Pages South Australian Tourism Award Winner and recipient of 2004 Yellow Pages South Australian Tourism Award Hall of Fame.
