UKI, is a beautiful and peaceful village and located almost at the foot of Mount Warning (less than 20 minutes drive). A drive to Nightcap and Border Ranges National Parks would make for a pleasant full days driving tour.

The town was founded on timber and dairying. Today UKI is a community based on dairying, with a developing base of tourist accommodation.

The village is a heritage conservation area with heritage buildings including the Mt Warning Hotel, the old Bank Building and the old Butter Factory, now converted to art and craft galleries and artisans work areas.

Accommodation is available at a caravan park, reasonable and comfortable B&B and also an exclusive retreat for those who wish to spoil themselves whilst enjoying the natural environment in style.
