Eucalyptus oil has made the village of Rosewood famous. You can see the oil distilled the way it has been for generations. Visit the working farms and one of the districts star attractions the Pioneer Women’s Hut and Glenroy Heritage Reserve. Rosewood also has a beautifully maintained historical cemetary. Close by is the marker where bushranger Mad Dog Morgan shot down Sgt McGinnity in 1884. For group tours visit “The Man from Boggy Creek” show, which demonstrates life on a working farm with great aussie humour and spirit. Halfway betwen Tumbarumba and Rosewood is Tumbarumba Wine Estates and their cellar door.
