Myalup, WA

Myalup is a peaceful fishing village 30 minutes’ drive southwest of Harvey off the Old Coast Road. A place where unspoilt white beaches, safe swimming and excellent fishing can be enjoyed.

Myalup comes from the Aboriginal word ‘mya’ meaning paperbark tree, which are abundant throughout this area.

Lake Preston is situated in nearby Yalgorup National Park and is a haven to animals, birdlife, and wildflowers when in season; providing excellent bush walks. The park is also has one of the first life forms known on earth, the rare stromatolites.

Large sand dunes provide scenic views over the ocean and dolphins can be frequently spotted along this stretch of coast.
