Merah North is a farming district on the Kamilaroi Highway, about 31 km west of Wee Waa and 73 km from Narrabri, on the way to Burren Junction and Lightning Ridge. It is no longer a village; the name now refers to the properties around a wheat silo and a cotton gin.
