Alectown, NSW
Alectown is a village of about 150 people on the Newell Highway, 24 km north of Parkes and 25 km south of Peak Hill. It was a gold town in the 1890s and is now a farming community.

Things To Do in Alectown
The turn-off to the Parkes radio telescope, known as The Dish, is a few kilometres south of the village. Alectown itself has two churches and a hall, and its hotels closed long ago.
