Things To Do in Woody Head

The beach beside the campground is protected by the headland and is good for children, and the rock platform has pools to explore at low tide. Kangaroos graze among the tents. Walking tracks lead through coastal rainforest and along the shore towards Iluka Bluff, and whales pass close in winter and spring.

Where To Stay

The campground has sites for tents and vans and a few cabins, with showers and a kiosk. It books out in school holidays, so reserve well ahead with the national parks service. Park entry fees apply.

Eat & Drink

The kiosk sells basics. Iluka, ten minutes away, has a pub, a club, cafes and a fishermen’s co-op.
