The mountain was a site of great spiritual significance to the Yuin people, who knew the mountain as Gulaga, and whose descendants to-day still hold the mountain in special reverence. And it is here, that the visitor would do well to take a conducted tour with Umbarra Cultural Tours. It is possible to walk up the mountain, (allow 1/2 day to see and experience everything).
