Lakesland, NSW
The orchards of Lakesland frow a wide range of stone fruit, including persimmons, a popular export product to Asia. The district is most famous for producing the first cherries to reach the Sydney markets each year. The property known, today as Mowbray Park was purchased in 1876 by William Barker who successfully claimed the title Baron Mowbray.
