The Town of Boggabri is 57kms SouthEast of Narrabri and 40km North West of Gunnedah on the Newell and Kamilaroi Highways.Boggabri is a town predominantly supported by Agriculture.It is a small village with a big community sprirt and boasts a unique country lifestyle. It has many facilities for country activities as well as being right on the edge of the rich of the rich coal deposits in the Gunnedah Shire.
Namoi Cotton Co Operative erected a State of the art cotton Gin at Boggabri in 1994.The town has a mixture of architecture from the beginning of the 19th Century to modern times. Boggabri has an Historical Museum which really brings the District alive, displaying Aboriginal artefacts and local gemstones. The Museum is a great place to receive an intorduction to Boggabri by gaining an understanding of times gone by.
Boggabri is the home of Nelson‘s Honey which is one of the largest suppliers in NSW to the Honey Corperation of Australia.”Gins Leap” is also a must, and is only 5kms North of Boggabri.It is a stunning sheer rock face that is subject to many legends.
A must do is the Boggabri Museum & Boggabri Historical walk around the streets of Boggabri will reveal a mixture of historic and modern architecture.
Boggabri has a Service Station, Motel, Caravan Park, two hotels,Supermarket,Boggabri TeaRooms,Post Office,RSL Club,Golf Club with a nine hole course,Hospital,Ambulance,NRMA,Fire Brigade and Four Churches.
The town provides excellent facilities for the young as well as quality aged care facilities
