Anglers Reach, NSW

Anglers Reach is a lakeside settlement at the northern end of Lake Eucumbene, about 16 km west of Adaminaby. A cluster of holiday houses and cabins looks across the water from nearly 1,200 metres above sea level. As the name suggests, people come here to fish.

  • A quiet lakeside base
  • Close to northern Kosciuszko National Park

Things To Do in Anglers Reach

The lake holds brown and rainbow trout, and this northern arm fishes well from the bank and by trolling from a boat. There is a boat ramp, though how usable it is depends on the lake level, which rises and falls a long way from year to year. Spring and autumn are the favoured seasons, and winter anglers should be ready for snow.

The settlement is also a base for the northern part of Kosciuszko National Park. The high plains around Kiandra, the Selwyn snowfields at Mount Selwyn and Tantangara Reservoir are all within an hour.

Where To Stay

Anglers Reach Lakeside Village has cabins and hires boats and tackle, and there is a caravan park nearby. Holiday houses can also be rented.

Adaminaby has the nearest hotel and motel.

Eat & Drink
