South-West – South Best Experience: Luxury 2 Day/1 Night Tour

A typical ‘South Best’ Experience.
A suggested 8.30am start heading South-West via Harvey and Wordsworth Wines delightfully different cellar door or the beauty of Capel Vale and their stunning stable of wines.
A superb introduction to the Margaret River Experience is the world renowned Vasse Felix, the first winery to produce a vintage in Margaret River. A sumptuous lunch married with wine from the Heytesbury Collection is served with a tasting of their other wines in the underground cellar.
Regarded as one of Australia’s icon wineries we experience the majestic Leeuwin Estate that produces some of the best chardonnay in the world.
Margaret River itself flows into the picturesque Indian Ocean. We enjoy ‘A Twilight Tasting’ with some fresh local cuisine here, or surounded by the famous Karri trees in a region blessed with natural beauty. Accommodation in Margaret River.
Day 2; A relaxed morning to experience the thriving Margaret River township and the informative Visitors Centre and then ‘time out’ at Watershed Wines, with a cellar taste and tour of this impresive new venture. We follow the rugged coastline to discover the isolated Wise Winery, way out on the Cape Naturaliste Peninsula, with a tasting at ‘rising star’ Cape Grace on the way. Then experience a gourmet lunch; perhaps the Pemberton unwooded chardonnay with the smoked salmon at Wise with the lovely views.
Day 2 Option; We journey to northern Margaret River to experience the bold and the boutique! ‘Rising star’ Cape Grace, success stories Madfish and Howard Park and one of the oldest producers, the distinctive Ashbrook. Lunch is at Lamont’s Restaurant at Gunyulgup Gallery with the local produce one of Western Australia’s best kept secrets.

Upper Swan Valley Experience – Luxury Day Tour: 30 min from Perth

A typical ‘Upper Swan’ Experience
A suggested 9.30am pickup, heading for the gateway to the Swan Valley: an 1829 market town an inland port called Guildford.
We greet the Jane Brook ‘family wines’, where we taste consistently good sparkling wines; a chardonay and a shiraz!
Further into the region, Riverbank Estate is the perfect place to start a full tasting programme followed by the fabulous full flavoured Lamont’s wines, at the family winery.
A spectactular rural setting on the upper reaches of the Swan River leads us to ‘Upper Reach’ for a sizzling tapas platter with garlic prawns and fried calamari, caesar salad… with a reserve chardonnay from 17 year old vines or the ripe, spiced plum and cherry fruit of their stunning shiraz.
After lunch we need to relax with a glass or two on the verandah or in the magnificent tasting room of Sittella Winery.
Enjoy the experience with a distinctly fragrant, passionfruit accented blend of chenin blanc, verdelho and chardonnay – an excellent palate pleaser after lunch.
