At Walkabout Creek Wildlife Centre are many birds and nocturnal animals that call the range their home. Up in the cool clear air of Maila you will experience the beauty of sub-tropical rainforest. Moreton Bay Breezes Drive
Headed for a few relaxing hours down by Moreton Bay your drive takes you through the suburb of Hamilton with tree-lined hills and lovely heritage Queenslander homes. The bayside suburbs of Sandgate and Shorncliffe provide a perfect vantage point for viewing Moreton Island and the vast wetlands (nature reserve). After morning/afternoon tea at the water’s edge your drive continues over the Houghton Highway to Redcliffe – site of the first settlement in Queensland. At Scarborough Boat Harbour see the trawlers and take the opportunity to view a vast selection of the local seafood at Morgans Fresh Seafood Markets.
