Dot Painting Workshop
On this tour you can meet Aboriginal artists who live at Uluru / Ayers Rock and share in their knowledge of traditional desert art as you learn about the meanings and significance behind their beautiful works. Join Aboriginal artists at the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre and complete your own work of art using your designs and concepts. Afterwards you might like to enjoy a sunset tour of Uluru / Ayers Rock, or enjoy a unique Sounds of Silence dining experience.
This tour returns to the resort in time for guests to continue on the Kuniya Sunset Tour, extra charge. A self drive option is available to join the Aboriginal artsists at the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre.
Aboriginal Uluru Tour
View the spectacular sunrise over Uluru / Ayers Rock and explore this iconic landmark as you are guided by its traditional owners. Retrace the path of the Liru Walk and see the scars etched into the rock as your Aboriginal guides tell the story of a great battle fought by their ancestors. Hear the tragic fate of Lungkata, the Blue Tongue Lizard Man, who still lies at the base of Uluru / Ayers Rock. You will also see demonstrations of bush skills, such as mixing bush glue, making fire without matches, throwing a spear and carving wooden tools with a sharpened stone on this fascinating tour.
A Liru Walk only option is available, this tour starts at the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. An Anangu Culture Pass option is also available, this tour combines the Aboriginal Ulutur Tour and the Kunlya Sunset Tour over one or two days.
Kuniya Sunset Tour
Uluru / Ayers Rock is perhaps the most recognised natural icon in Australia, and a visit to this landmark is an unforgettable experience. On this unique tour of the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park you can discover more about this monolith as you share in the intimate knowledge of its traditional owners. As you explore the base of Uluru / Ayers Rock with your Aboriginal guides you will see ancient rock art, search for local bush tucker and hear Dreamtime stories. Dot Painting and Kuniya Sunset Tour
