Antique Airways

Antique Airways operates Tiger Moth joy flights out of Redcliffe aerodrome. Flights range from a cruisy scenic flight around the peninsular to an adrenalin-pumping aerobatic flight.

The Tiger Moth is an open cockpit fabric-covered biplane of a bygone era and carries only one passenger. Antique Airways has two Tiger Moths, both restored to better than new condition. The Tiger is a very strong, reliable and robust aircraft and Antique Airways is run by an ex airline pilot with over thirty years’ commercial flying.

The office/waiting room of Antique Airways is the original Redcliffe Aero club building and has been restored in period decor of the 1930’s.

Passengers and their friends can relax on the verandah, have a hot or cold drink and take in the atmosphere and excitement that comes with flying a classic aircraft.

Antique Airways are open five days a week from Wednesday to Sunday, the weekends, of course, being the most popular. Flights are conducted by booking that can be arranged by ringing Lisa in the office Wednesday to Friday, the office is manned by the pilots on the weekend.

Antique Airways also operates a Twin engine classic Beechcraft model 18 which holds nine passengers in comfort and does night and day scenic flights. The night flights are over the city of Brisbane and the day flights are over Moreton Bay, the islands, the Glasshouse Mountains and Brisbane Valley.
