Island Brook Estate, Margaret River

Located in the heart of the world-renowned Margaret River Wine Region, Island Brook Estate is one of the few vineyard-stay accommodation providers in the region. The self contained chalets are perfect for guests wanting to escape it all and be totally immersed in the Margaret River way of life.

The secluded chalets are set amongst 100 acres of forest and vineyard with the vineyard producing Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Semillon, Chardonnay and Verdelho varieties. Each luxury self contained chalet is designed for all your comfort needs including romantic twin spa bath, television, digital versatile disc and compact disc, air-conditioning and barbecue. Island Brook Estate bush walking also provides an abundance of native flora and fauna including kangaroos.

Linda and Peter Jenkins purchased the property three years ago. A couple of “city slickers” who had planned to buy a hobby farm or weekender and in turn bought a 40 hectare vineyard in need of a little tender loving care.

The Jenkins realised it was going to be a full time job and made the move down south. They built the chalets a year and a half ago with a view to offering patrons a secluded self contained getaway. With 50 acres of bush surrounding the chalets they are perfect for those wanting to get away from it all whilst enjoying award winning wines grown on the property. In December 2002 Island Brook Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2001 won “The Best Red Wine Trophy” at the inaugural Margaret River Wine Show. They have continued the success with many awards for their wines.
