Albany Backpackers, Albany

Albany Backpackers is the original and the newest backpackers hostel in Albany. They have recently completed a massive renovation and can provide you with everything you need or want. It is a split-level hostel with the majority of the bedrooms, common room and bathrooms on the upper level around the fireplace. It has a huge brand new laundry, kitchen, dining area and bathrooms on the middle level and reception (including seven in-house internet computers), games room and new bathrooms on the lower level. Outside is a large barbecue area and beautiful garden to relax in and read a good book.

Albany Backpackers is famous for its countless murals and artwork throughout the hostel and for its daily cake and coffee. Homemade cakes with freshly brewed coffee are served free at 0630 everyday. Nothing tops this, but for good luck they throw in free breakfast as well. The happy, friendly staff whose personalities add to the atmosphere of the hostel exemplifies the wonderful homeliness of this hostel. Lonely Planet has stated that this hostel “…has possibly the best atmosphere out of any hostel in Western Australia”, but it does not stop there. Albany Backpackers also gives you free internet time to check your email (once during your stay) and a ‘buy-one-get-one-free’ drink at the White Star Pub every day you are there. The service you receive is second to none.

“Your comfort is our priority” is what the guys at Albany Backpackers swear by.

With recent additions of three family rooms Albany Backpackers now caters for families, so go down with the family and check it out, kids are well catered for.

Located in the heart of town with harbour views, you won’t be disappointed.
