Schoolhouse Cottage, American River

Schoolhouse Cottage was built late in the nineteenth century as the first schoolhouse in American River. It was subsequently turned into a house a few years later. The front two rooms are original, with timber floorboards and matchboard walls and ceilings. A modern rear section was added recently, sympathetic to the period and furnished accordingly. The cottage sleeps six comfortably, with two living areas. Situated right on the foreshore, close to jetty, boat ramp, tennis courts and children’s playground with spectacular sea views and sunrises.
