Orchid House is a beautiful rental house located at Orchid Beach, within 10 minutes of Indian Head, Champagne Pools, Waddy Point and Ocean Lake, in the heart of the Fraser Island National Park and World Heritage Listed Area. This rental house is rented as a full house and not as separate rooms of the house.

Wathumba Creek estuary, Platypus Bay and the western beaches are only 16 kilometres away if you fancy mud crabbing or whale watching. Platypus Bay is where the whales rest with their newborn calves on their migration south during July to October each year. Yabbie banks provide fresh bait in the estuary spawning ground.

Sandy Cape and its historic Lighthouse is only 35 kilometres north past Ngkala Rocks up the magnificent beach through the unspoilt Wilderness Area. They have little beach traffic, no tour buses nor day visitor crowds, and are away from the southern resort settlements of Kingfisher, Eurong and Happy Valley. Champagne Pools, freshwater Ocean Lake, the shallow Waddy lagoon and the beach low tide whiting gutters are perfect for children to swim in.

Trailer boats can be launched from the beach lagoon to fish the offshore reefs. Orchid Beach is famous for its variety of all weather, prime, fishing spots. When the winds blow, you can still fish the surf, rocks or estuary nearby. The area from Indian Head to Sandy Cape is renowned for the variety and size of fish caught. The largest tailor is caught in this area in October to November.

This is an ideal base from which to experience all that Fraser Island has to offer. Recharge your batteries, borrow a book from their library and relax watching sunsets from the beach or verandah. The house was designed for the climate, privacy and your comfort.
