Acland is a small rural community in the Rosalie Shire. Grain and cattle farming are popular in the district.
Acland is most well known for the Acland Coal Museum. Acland is sited on an authentic colliery which operated until 1984. The Acland mine was the oldest and smallest continuously worked coal mine in Queensland.
