Wildwater Adventures is a long-established adventure travel operator. Wildwater Adventures specialise in whitewater rafting on the rivers of northern New South Wales.
Operating since 1980, out of Coffs Harbour, Wildwater Adventures has been providing guided rafting expeditions (1,2 and 4 day tours) on the Nymboida River, which runs through the forest hills and gorges of Nymboi-Binderay National Park. The country is spectacular and the rapids impressive. The guides are very experienced, on this river and other rivers worldwide.
The guides will ensure that your trip is both pleasant, safe and a lot of fun. All meals are included in the tour cost (lots of good food!), plus pick-ups and drop-offs from Coffs Harbour. The two-day Nymboida River trips with Wildwater Adventures, is the best two-day rafting trip in Australia, no question about it. These trips are suitable for beginners but will also generate enough adrenalin for experienced rafters. Rapids are mostly grade 3 and 4, up to grade 5 after heavy rains. The minimum age is 12 years.
In 1986, Wildwater Adventures pioneered whitewater rafting on the Gwydir River, which is located in the north-west of New South Wales near Inverell.
Large volumes of irrigation water are released from Copeton Dam during spring and summer, creating a grade 4 and 5 rapids which provide a very exciting two day rafting trip. This trip is not for the faint-hearted! Minimum age is 16 years, and you must be a good swimmer and be reasonably fit. Vacancies are limited, due to the short season, so early bookings are essential. Be prepared for high levels of adrenalin and committed paddling.
Other trips available include a half-day introduction to whitewater rafting on Goolang Creek, ex Coffs Harbour and special itineraries for team building, corporate and conference groups.
