Resident owners, Helen and James Knight welcome guests to their eco friendly retreat discretely nestled in a natural bushland setting.

Perfectly situated, the Kangaroo Island Wilderness Retreat is the only accommodation complex adjacent to the entrance of the Flinders Chase National Park. Exploring Kangaroo Island is easily achieved from this one location with major attractions including Rocky River, Remarkable Rocks, Admirals Arch, Kelly Hill Caves, Seal Bay, Koala Walk, Vivonne Bay, Hanson Bay and beautiful bushwalks all within easy reach.

With 46 hectares of pristine Australian bushland in the Kangaroo Island Wilderness Retreat is as much a retreat for the wildlife as it is for guests. Take a stroll on one of the many walks from the retreat and it is likely you will see an echidna, goanna, kangaroo or koala. Closer to the rooms, wallabies and possums playfully entertain guests in the courtyard at night while an amazing array of bird life provides the perfect background chorus at dawn and dusk.

Guests are invited to spoil themselves in one of 22 (AAAT four star) luxuriously appointed Wilderness Courtyard Suites featuring all the amenities you would expect to find in a first class international hotel room. Families wanting to self-cater can choose from one of five (AAAT four star) Eco Lodge Apartments while less disconcerting guests can still experience this idyllic setting with one of five (AAAT three star) Eco Lodge Rooms.
