Spinnakers Leisure Park, Belmont

Spinnakers is a safe and affordable park with lovely landscaped gardens and a
mix of accommodation styles from deluxe cabins to unpowered or powered tent
sites (each with their own shower/toilet).

In the centre of the tourist area there is a large camp kitchen with gas BBQs
and full kitchen facilities (though of course all our deluxe cabins have full-
scale kitchens).

Our park sits on a narrow peninsular of land between Lovely Lake Macquarie and
a stretch of wild beach. Lake Macquarie is Australia’s largest salt-water
lake. Three minutes from the park is a safe surfing beach patrolled by
lifesavers and with facilities to BBQ and shade from the hot Australian sun?
You can e-mail your booking and even pay with a credit card.

Only twenty minutes from our park is the old city of Newcastle, Australia’s
second oldest settlement (only five years younger than Sydney itself). Its
architecture has been preserved and this former steel making city now offers a
cosmopolitan atmosphere of restaurants and entertainment to suit everyone. The
beaches along Newcastle’s shoreline have spawned world champion surfers.
A pleasant drive up the Hunter valley and only an hour from Spinnakers is the
famous Hunter Valley vineyards. Some of the world’s great whites are produced
here. It’s worth taking a look (and a sip).

Many tourists use our park as a rest stop when travelling south from
Queensland to catch their plane home. Sydney is only just over an hour away,
but from the peace and quiet you will find here you will feel as though you
are in the middle of a sea side haven. Stop and refresh with Spinnakers on
your way down the coast.

Australia has miles and miles of shoreline but which beaches are really great? Ultimately it depends on what you're looking for in a beach. Pristine wilderness without a single footprint in sight, the sparkle of cosmopolitan high rise on the waters edge, the adrenalin pumping roar of a powerful surf beach, or quite simply the perfect white squeaky sand that squelches between your toes. Glasshouse Mountains

The Glasshouse Mountains in the hinterland of Queensland’s Sunshine Coast are actually the cores of 20 million year old volcanoes. The sides of the volcanoes have eroded away leaving only the hardened rock spiremountain cores we see today. Learn more about this awe-inspiring landscape.
