Bowker Beach House, Lord Howe Island

With a strong focus on cool contemporary style, Bowker Beach House on Lord Howe Island caters for two adults only; exclusive, extremely private, and in a stunning location tucked away in a secluded tropical forest, on Lord Howe Island’s beautiful lagoon beach. The moment you see the winding boardwalk leading through the forest, you’ll experience a sense of something special.

The house is well equipped for a very comfortable stay. The lounge room has an extensive library, Wi-Fi, Bose sound system, Foxtel, DVD, flat screen TV, cards and boardgames, you won’t be short of entertainment. But it’s the comfort factor which really stands out – big, comfy windowseat, plenty of light and ventilation.

Bowker Beach House has a fully equipped self-cater kitchen with dishwasher, oven, drinks fridge and general fridge, microwave, coffee machine, sandwich press, beautiful dinner and glassware.

In the bedroom the timber king size bed was made by local craftsmen, the bedding is supplied by Sheridan, with the wonderfully comfortable Abbotson linen range a feature. A sensational bathroom is fully tiled with glossy porcelain; luxuriate in the tub with the complete range of Molton Brown toiletries. Heated towel rail, big double vanity and funky Orla Kiely towelling.

Every detail has been carefully thought through, inside and out.

The beach cottage shows off its private outdoor spaces with spacious timber decking and two meandering boardwalks, one that extends to a tree enclosed timber platform, where two superb resort hammocks on massive timber frames are totally irresistible.

Lord Howe Island Climate

Temperatures range from about 28 degrees Celsius in summer with lows of about 13 degrees in winter. The months of July, August and September can sometimes be windy.
