Spaniard Charters

Touch another world.

Operating in the Shark Bay World Heritage Area is a unique marine company. Spaniard Charters explores the untouched beauty of Shark Bay with not only deep sea fishing but also 101 different activities.

The history of Shark Bay is part of your unique adventure. Cape Inscription, the site of the first European landing in Australia, is where Dirk Hartog left his pewter plate calling card in 1616. Dolphins in their pristine environment are one of the awe-inspiring encounters. They love to visit the Spaniard and share a leap to enthral customers. They show no fear and have interacted with the boat and crew for many years.

Skipper, Barry Edwards, aboard his beloved Spaniard has 25 years experience on the waters of Shark Bay. He knows where the dolphins play, the dugongs lurk, the whales leap and the hiding places of the ocean’s treats. Spaniard is a 15 metre fibreglass Westcoaster charter vessel, cruises at 35 kilometres per hour, with a 2000 kilometre range and accommadates 12 passengers for live aboard cruises. It has the latest safety and communication equipment and boasts an excellent galley for the preparation of gourmet seafood dishes.

Come and share this remarkable area with us, whether to catch a prized fish in the offshore blue waters or use our surveyed dinghies to flyfish one of Australias best rated fly grounds, with over 50 species on a trip. Alternatively, perhaps you will take a relaxing, unforgettable sightseeing adventure in the sheltered pristine waters that are Shark Bay.

Our charter rates are on a daily basis for one to twelve people and include all meals, fishing equipment (not fly), bait and ice. You will need to bring you own personal items, linen and alcohol.
