Tassielink Coaches offer a variety of tours to key locations around Tasmania. From half day to full day touring Tassielink Coaches take you to attractions including Port Arthur Historic Site, Bonorong Wildlife Park, Cataract Gorge and the Tahune Air Walk.

Salamanca Market and Port Arthur Historic Site Tour

This morning make your own way to the sounds, actions, colour and sights of Australia’s best outdoor market at Salamanca Place. After experiencing the fun and entertainment make your own way to the top end of Salamanca Market at the bus stop on Davey Street where we will collect you. Then travel to the historic site of Port Arthur where you have the opportunity to visit the interactive Interpretation Gallery, join a guided walking tour and participate in the harbour cruise (not August). There is still time to wander through the beautiful gardens, restored houses and ruins.

Richmond and Luscious Fruits Tour

Introducing the Sorell Fruit Farm, one of Tasmania’s unique food, wine and farming attractions. On arrival you shall enjoy a delicious afternoon Devonshire tea in the surrounds of a beautiful cottage garden or the cafe. Capture the taste of freshly picked fruit in season, fruit wines, liqueurs, pickles and jams. Rich in history and heritage, go back in time to enjoy the delightful old world village of Richmond. Your tour will showcase Richmond’s famous attractions including the Richmond Bridge, Australia’s oldest bridge dating back to 1823, St John’s Church and many Georgian buildings, souvenir, art and craft shops. It’s all yours to discover.

Hobart City Sights and Mount Wellington Tour

Gain an insight into the charming city of Hobart. Travel past heritage locations including Salamanca Place, Battery Point and Hobart’s Historic Waterfront. Experience spectacular views from Mount Wellington*, as your journey rises more than 1200 metres above the city. Overlook the sparkling River Derwent,
Hobart City and its beautiful surrounds. Travel back down the mountain and conclude your tour by enjoying a leisurely walk through the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens, one of the finest gardens in the world. What a perfect introduction when visiting Hobart!
*Mount Nelson replaces Mount Wellington if weather is unsuitable.

Freycinet National Park Excursion

Pristine sandy beaches and breathtaking ocean views are what makes Wineglass Bay one of the world’s most beautiful destinations for tourists and locals. Take an optional one hour return walk to the Wineglass Bay Lookout, or travel to Sleepy Bay and Cape Tourville Lighthouse. Here you can take in the spectacular coastal views, where the gigantic pink and grey granite boulders spattered in orange lichen come alive with the Hazard Mountains as their backdrop.

Bruny Island Tour

This personalised, small group tour begins and ends at your city doorstep. See the ‘Neck’ from the observation platform, Fairy Penguin and Mutton Bird rookeries as well as Adventure Bay – where explorers Cook, Bligh and Furneaux made landfall. On the way to the historic Cape Bruny Lighthouse, take a walk in the Mt Mangana rainforest and alpine reserve. All this as well as lunch and any other attractions suggested on the day are included in your tour.

Tasmanian Devils and Wildlife Tour

Start your afternoon exploring Bonorong Wildlife Park where you can meet the famous Tasmanian Devil, pat a wombat or koala, and take the opportunity to feed the free ranging animals in their natural environment. Then capture the essence of historic Richmond. With free time to explore the village, you can discover locally crafted products, see how convicts lived in the 1800’s at the Richmond Gaol, or relax in one of the cafes. This tour showcases one of Tasmania’s most picturesque towns including Richmond Bridge, the oldest bridge in Australia and St. John’s Church, the oldest remaining Roman Catholic Church still used in Australia.

Port Arthur Historic Site Tour

Set amidst the tall, dark forests of the Tasman Peninsula rests the historic site of Port Arthur built in 1830. This tour allows you to discover Australia’s premier historic site, with its fascinating and brutal history, magnificent wilderness and scenic beauty.
Highlights Include:
Interpretation Centre, guided walking tour, 30 restored houses and ruins, glorious gardens, Port Arthur Museum, Interpretation Gallery, Pirates Bay Lookout, Eaglehawk Neck, harbour cruise around the Isle of the Dead and Boy’s Prison at Point Puer (not August).

Enjoy the interactive game, "Lottery of Life", and learn about the lives of real convicts who spent time at the site.

Tahune Forest Airwalk Tour

Discover the highlights of Hobart City and then the awe-inspiring forests of Tasmania. Visit the Geeveston Forest and Heritage Centre, gateway to the Hartz Mountains National Park. See the products created by the in house craftspeople turned from natural Tasmanian Timbers into exquisite creations. Then travel to the world class Tahune AirWalk. Relax in the beautiful surrounds of Tasmania’s forests and experience this magical journey through the forest canopy, up to 45 metres above the ground out onto the cantilever-viewing platform. On your return to Hobart sample delicious Devonshire tea and climb the circular Shot Tower, the last of its type remaining in the world.

Mt Field National Park and Wildlife Tour

Commence your tour by travelling though the picturesque Derwent Valley to the Salmon Ponds. Before visiting Mount Field National Park be ‘wild’ and visit Something Wild – a wild life rehabilitation sanctuary for wombats, Tasmanian devils, wallabies and owls. Try to spot platypus living in their natural habitat. Experience the wilderness at Mount Field, Tasmania’s first National Park, declared in 1916.
